Caribou Island
A

The site is located on a southern point of land on Effie Bay, on Gull Lake. A

large concentration of Woodland ceramics, lithics, and the base of an Archaic
projectile point were recovered in 2014. These artifacts had been exposed due
to the 2013 forest fire. An intensive shovel testing program was implemented
in 2016. Site visits occurred in 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2019.
