Nelson River The site is located on the north shore of a bay, west of Caribou Island. Historic

land use is evidence by the tin cans, Copenhagen snuff containers and glass
Nelson River bottles found at the site. In addition to the historic middens, a single piece of
Laural pottery was recovered. The back shore of the site is rocky with low-lying
vegetation and dead wood due to the forest fire in 2013. Site visits occurred in
        2013, 2015, 2016 and 2019.
