 Nelson River

The site is located on the north shore of the Nelson River at the entrance of Gull

Lake on west shore of Kahpowinic Bay. Black spruce and birch characterize the
vegetation along the back shore and elevated terrace. The shoreline consists of A
medium sized cobbles and till. Due to visible ice scouring, artifacts in the area
have probably been removed from their original context. Site visits occurred in
        2004, 2012 and 2018.
