Caribou Island
The site is located on an eroded rocky point along the northeastern shore
of Gull Lake less than 500 m from the northeast corner of Caribou Island.
Middle and Late Woodland ceramics and some Pre-European Contact lithic
debitage was found on the eroded shoreline. The site was named naméwi-
Gull Lake Gull Lake néyáw because a local team member noted that the sturgeon fishing was good
Nelson River off the point. Site visits occurred in 2012, 2014 and 2018. A
