Nelson River (1870-presen t)
The site is located on a small spit of bedrock on the east side B
of a small sheltered cove. When first surveyed, in 2001 the
shoreline was lined with alder and willow brush. The site

was originally characterized as a historic campsite based on
the recovery of a single glass bottle finish (ca. 1850-1880);
however, further revisits revealed a Pre-European Contact C M
component that spanned thousands of years. Site visits
occurred was visited in 2001, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016,
2017, 2018, and 2019. D
