The site is located on the south-west corner of a small peninsula along the B
north shore of the Nelson River. The land at the location is very steep. It was
Gull Lake initially recorded as a possible burial location based on traditional knowledge

Nelson River (TK) provided by TCN. It wasn’t until after the forest fire in 2013 that the C M
artifacts were found at the site. Both Pre-European and historic artifacts were
recovered. Surveys also noted hearth features and tin can middens. Site visits

occurred in 2001, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2015, 2016 and 2018.
