The site is located approximately 230 m west of the eastern tip of John Kitch
Point on Gull Lake. A late 1800’s – early 1900’s cabin foundation was discovered
Gull Laket had been exposed from the 2013 forest fire. In addition, Middle
Gull Lake in 2015, after i
Nelson River and Late Woodland pottery sherds were recovered. The site was excavated in
2016 and revealed a female presence with the recovery of delicate blue buttons D
and a locket. Site visits occurred in 2015, 2016 and 2018.
