Nelson River
The site is located along the south shore of Gull Lake just before it opens into
the Nelson River. The site is along a long stretch of shore that consists of sand
and small cobbles. The vegetation along the shore initially consisted of willow A
and alder with birch and spruce on the back shore. A single chert flake was
recovered during the 2004 survey and the site was named after one of the TCN
students. No further artifacts have been recovered. Site visits occurred in 2004,
2012 and 2018.
